Joshua's 12th Birthday!

Finally I am able to share my planning of Joshua's 12th birthday! I had a lot of fun planning it. It was a hit with both Joshua and my family. We found the decor at a party supply store and dollar tree. We also found some old records at the local Salvation Army. This is the decor we used: old records, red table cloth, black ballon's, rockstar plates, music note confetti, white cups, clear silverware, black napkins, water bottles wrapped in duct tape with names on them, posters, streamers, painted sheet with lights and more. We also filled some goodie bags with some fun little things. I found my game ideas here: http://www.birthdayinabox.com/party-ideas.html#
To top it all off Joshua received a guitar from my mom and dad!

Well, that wraps up party planning for now. Until May!

Birthday Bash!!

Hello! Today I am going to tell you about what I’ve been working on lately… PARTY PLANNING!! This month I spent time planning my sister’s 17th birthday and my brother’s 12th. This is what I came up with. My sister wanted a duct tape theme. So I looked on Pintrist and other websites to find ideas. I decided for the decorations to do all different colors. You can get different colors at dollar tree but we decided to get the décor at Walmart because they had brighter colors. We found these items: teal table cloth, purple napkins, pink silverware, lime green cups, zebra print plates, zebra print banner, balloons, and hanging stars, streamers and of course duct tape. At dollar tree we found some confetti and we found small gifts to give her throughout the day.

On the internet I found some games to play. Ductaping someone to the wall was the first game. We separated into two teams but we didn’t race. We were just experimenting to see if it would work. Then we balanced 5 rolls of duct tape on our heads and tried to walk about ten feet.

After the games we did duct tape crafts. You can pick any kind but we did these: decorating pens(boys), make bracelets(girl). For the food, my sister just picked out her favorites but my friend had a duct tape party and she did all different colored food. She also had name cards by the food telling what it was and what color it represented. I will share about my brother's birthday next time.

 Ttyl!!
