St. Louis, Blackhawks, and teeth? One word.....June. :)

Finally! I get to take a break from the hustle and bustle of June and write. It has been such a busy month for me and my family but such a blessing. God blessed us with the funds this year to take a vacation to St. Louis to visit friends and go to some attractions. We were able to visit, with our friends, six flags and the St. Louis Zoo. Six flags was lots of fun. We hit the water park in the morning where our family  enjoyed some raft rides, the beautiful wave pool (with fake volcano), the pirates cove (little kids zone) and much more. Then after lunch in the parking lot we had fun on the rides. I was able to ride the new roller coaster called the Boomerang. Wow! It was a little scary and it gave me a bad headache but it was worth it. :) I would suggest riding it toward the end of your visit. I also got to ride Mr. Freeze in Reverse, Batman, and a couple of smaller rides. My little brothers loved the Scooby Doo ride where they shot at things to get points. By the end of the day most of us were all hot, tired, sunburnt and wearing super hero caps but all happy. That night we relaxed and played some fun games. One game we played was called balderdash. If you ever get the opportunity to play it DO IT!!! It was sssoooo funny!

The next day our family traveled to the St. Louis Zoo. On the way we passed by the arch, the stadium where the blue's play, and the stadium where the cardinals play. It was really cool. :) At the zoo it was really hot so we did not do a whole lot but we took the train around the zoo, visited a couple of animals, and watched the sea lion show. It was a lot of fun and I would definatly enjoy visiting again. That night we played more games and some of the family watched the blackhawks game. On our trip we also were able to visit some yummy restaurants like Culver's and Cracker Barrel.


Another thing that we were busy with was watching Blackhawks games!!!! We've been watching them since the very beginning of the season. Our nights were filled with cheering for the blackhawks and watching them advance. Finally to our relief they WON THE STANLY CUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHOO HOO!!!! There was much celebrating in our house!!!!!! By the way my favorite players are.....Teows and Hjalmarsson. Actually the day they won I had a tooth procedure. It was the first time I had been put to sleep for anything. It was weird but I made it through with the Lord's help. I will have much more to write about in the coming days. TTTYL!!
